Everyone would call you a fool if you buy makeup at a displayed price in Korea. Since there are too many high street cosmetics shops here, they always would love to invite customers by genuine sampling or either a regular sale....

Once in a month, most of the brands have a crazy sale such as Etude House, The Face Shop, Missha etc.. So what you want to do is, jot it down of what you want to buy and wait for the sale for a couple weeks for a wiser spending. Or if you don't have any wishlist, you can just browse the shop and end up buying stuffs by the time you come out of the store.. :p

I can never get enough with this pencil eyeliner. If my HG gel eyeliner is Tony Moly, my HG pencil eyeliner would definitely be this! Etude House Proof10 Eye Pencil is a great option if every eyeliners smudge on you. It's also waterproof and what I like about is the natural color. So if you like intense black, this won't be the one for you! By the way, this is my 3rd repurchase of this item :) I actually got black and ash brown.

I compulsively bought this shade as some of my favorite eye shadow comes from Etude House. I am not disappointed but I'm not really excited to wear this shade for everyday. The color is BR401 Look At My Eyes shadow.

In my case I couldn't wait for Innisfree's sale and also their sale is very limited anyway. They never have a big reduction on the cost.

What I was eyeing on and couldn't get my hands on for awhile - because it was sold out all across this country - is this Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Pact. I never have came across a decent, handy compact powder, whereas I have a lot of love relationship on my loose or mineral ones. But everyone were raving about how good this was to carry around and remove the oil through out the day. I don't expect any coverage from a powder, I can be happy if it solely cancels my shine. But among numbers of solid powders out there, I found it's quite tricky to find something that the texture is light-weight and translucent. However, Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Pact actually lives up to every expectation of mine.

I almost bought the new lipstick range from Innisfree but then I holded there. But I had to get this dusty lilac shade which definitely caught my eyes, Innisfree Eco Nail Color PRO #9. Since the weather is getting cooler I would like to have more autumn-ish color on my nails and this color was perfect to welcome the cooler breeze. It is very subtle and feminine. I think this is going to be one of my most reached colors for fall.

As in Laneige, I got Volume Setting Waterproof Mascara, which I believe it's a summer edition. I'm excited to try out as I really like the original Volume Setting Mascara except it being non-waterproof. I would say this is more for lengthening mascara but I haven't opened the new one yet so we'll see!

The last thing I got was a dry shampoo. I was intrigued by the name PSSSSSST! In Korea, dry shampoo is a new thing, thus I haven't tried as well. Psssssst The True Original is quite dainty which is perfect to try out. I'll let you know how it works in the future. :)

What have you been HAULING lately?

  1. I am so envious of all the awesome sales you often get...and to have an actual store. we have The Face Shop store here in California (LA Koreatown)but that's the only store I know of. Great review and so tempted to purchase some stuff! haha. I recently hauled two face shop products (rice ceramide moisture cream, and the white tree snow exfoliating foam cleanser)I have used the moisture cream already and I love how it smells. i=I have yet to try the exfoliating foam cleanser...do you have an good recommendation of waterproof mascara? i've been out and needing to pick up a new one...but not sure which I should try.

  4. You're so active on the blog this month! I'm really interested in the Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Pact now that you've also mentioned it! I find that the powders I use don't do well in controlling my oil--I pretty much use oil blotting sheets for that purpose--but I might try this powder out now! If you have a chance, I recommend trying Palladio's Rice Paper! It is awesome at removing unwanted shine and gives a natural matte finish :)

  5. You're so right Liah! I made the mistake of buying a bunch of stuff without waiting for the sales and ended up regretting it so much. Now I usually make mental note of what I want and wait for the monthly or seasonal sales. It's so much cheaper that way!

I'm curious to try the Etude House Proof10 Eye Pencil now!

  6. Can you please write a review about Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Pact? I've just come to Seoul for a few days and my face is really oily and shiny at the moment :(
And please tell me when the next sale is if you know? I've bought so many cosmetics and I so regret now T^T
