Hello pretties!! I have my first blog post here that is non related to my video! I was thinking of doing a 'What's in my makeup bag or purse' video but then I thought this way it would be much easier and more simple to show you! It's always interesting to peek through your friend's makeup bag, right? At least for me, I always check my friend's makeup bag and am curious of what she brings her daily essential items she carries around to every where. So here I share my daily beauty items I bring around at this moment! Enjoyyyy <3

What did you say? Did you say you are shocked by seeing a ZIPLOC instead a fancy makeup bag? Haha that is true and in my real life whenever I pull of this Ziploc - to me my 'makeup bag' - my friends  always comment on how silly I am. But you know what? Actually the makeup bag you carry and store your precious beauty items contains heaps of bacterias that might creep you out. Over time, bacteria can infiltrate to your cosmetic bag only to be transferred on to your face and cause irritation and even infection. And this happens to your makeup storage as well. So lets be aware of it and clean them regularly or dispose it!

I actually really put a hard effort on keeping all of my cosmetics hygienic. And makeup bags are not an exception. That way I thought keeping them in a Ziploc bag is not only keeping away from all sorts of germs but also convenient and handy. I can just dispose the Ziploc every other period I think it's time to toss it away. And the zipper is so easy to open and close as it says on the bag 'EASY ZIPPER!' (haha). In design(?) perspective, it's transparent, which makes me way easier to find and pull out my item instead of going all through my items. Also it's travel friendly! Ever since I used Ziploc as my makeup bag every time I go to the airport, I don't need to struggle to transfer items into another bag. And for the last reason? IT'S CHEAP! :) So does it make sense now?

Okayy. First essential! HAND MOISTURIZER! Mine is from Crabtree & Evelyn specifically Avocado Olive&Basil. Got this humongous size at London store in Regents street! (Thumbs up for the super sweet ladies working there!) I really am not a fan of Loccitane's hand cream collection after discovering Crabtree & Evelyn. Loccitane's ones leave you a very slippery feeling and seems like it doesn't absorb as nice as C&E ones do. C&E lotions in general are very great quality made items and also easy to absorb while making your hands fully moisturized. Also the scents from all of the C&E collection are quite natural and many people tend to like it over Loccitane's one. My fav out of all the scents of C&E has to bee Citron, Source Water, and Avocado Olive&Basil. But I was hoping Avocado ones smell more towards to real avocado-ey smell. But still I am in love with it. Also a great hand cream I recommend is from 'Sabon'. The only down side of Sabon hand creams is that it's not really easy to get on hands. Especially when you live in Korea! :\

For face products? I don't really touch up with powder or either foundation/BB cream by carrying them around. I do blot out my face when it gets shiney with Aritaum Premium Aritaum Magic Oil Blotting Paper. And this is sooo genius and doesn't ruin your makeup at all! It just takes away the unnecessary grease on your face. With that, if I think my under eyes got worse or my pimple got accentuated during the day I would use this Boirjois Healthy Mix Concealer. It says it has 'fruit therapy' so I think it's better than having nothing! :) Hurray for the handy packaging on both products!

Eye liners are my top essential products when it comes to touching up my makeup. That's why I bring so many of them around me! In order from top to bottom, Etude House Proof 10 Eye Pencil, KIKO Makeup Milano Smart Eye Pencil #800, Holika Holika Jewel-Light Waterproof  Eye Liner 'Brown Amber', and Clio Kill Black Waterproof Liquid Liner. First of all, all the colours I have comes handy during the day and it's easy to do makeup on the go than carrying gel eyeliner product. The colour choice differs by my mood of the day but I incorporate two or three eye liners at the same time. :)

Another top essential that makes me really insecure whenever I forget to bring these out is my eye lash curler from The Face Shop and Mabelline The Falsies mascara. I cannot live or leave without these two babies. The Face Shop eye lash curler just works WONDERS! The best lash curler I met for curling your lashes and making them beautifully flared out. In conjunction with that, the very famous The Falsies pretty much speaks for itself, right? I think wearing mascara is more important than wearing eye liner since it makes you looking wide awake! :))

Lip products I bring could totally be different by day by day. Lippies are the one I mostly go with a lot of variation. But at the moment I am so into pink lips! I normally am a huge fan of coral colours as it suits me better but after trying out different pink colours, I finally realised some pink could really look flattering on my lips! So basically I use Revlon Lip Butter in Sweet Tart, and top it off with either Aritaum World Glam Lip Gloss in Moscow or Bourjois 3D Effect Lip Gloss #52. Both options are either way so lovely.

So yeah! This is all I carry. Do you think I carry heaps or not? :) I want to know what is your makeup items you carry around on a daily basis! Have a beautiful day lovelies!! <3 xx Liah.

  1. Whenever I take out my makeup bag, my friends always comment on how it looks like I'm about to do a huge makeover on someone haha! I usually carry about 17 items but since they are all mini sized, it's an easy fit. When I decide to carry a small sized purse, I have to atleast have concealer, liner & lip tint in there!

  4. I actually wanted this before but then my initial thinking that what will the others think if they saw my makeup inside a ziploc.. That thinking prevented me from doing this as much as I wanted it. Im glad to know that I am not the only one who feels the same way! ^_^
